**Effective November 1, 2016: To continue to provide customers the ability to make online payments using a debit or credit card, the City of Columbia has partnered with Value Payment Systems (VPS), a third-party service provider, A convenience fee of 2.5% for credit cards and 1.5% for debit cards (with a minimum fee of $1.95 for both) will be assessed on all payments using a credit or debit card. This convenience fee is in no way associated with the City of Columbia and is collected solely by VPS. If you do not wish to use this service, you may pay using other traditional methods such as cash or check.

**LATE FEES:Late fees: $25 late fee is added to citations unpaid after 30 days. After 60 days there is another $25 late fee. On the 61st day, the citation will be transferred to collections with an additional $15 transferrable fee. To find out how much is owed on cited vehicles, please call (803) 545-4015.

The total price which will be charged to you for your payment includes funds used to develop, maintain, enhance and expand the electronic payment service they are offering. The total amount will be shown on the payment site you will be directed to later in this process. If you do not wish to use their services, you can pay the City directly by other traditional methods like cash or check.
